Daniel J. Alvarez is a founding principal and Chief Revenue Officer of Synergy. Synergy allows trial lawyers to focus on what they do best by handling all the issues which arise at settlement such as lien resolution, Medicare compliance, and public benefit preservation techniques for protecting the recovery. Dan is passionate about spending time with his wife Emily and children Brooke, Micah and Madeline. He has an interest in Florida State football that only borders on unhealthy. Past Experience

Dan works nationally consulting plaintiff attorneys and their clients on the negotiation and resolution of catastrophic personal injury cases. Dan has a unique background to the settlement planning practice industry having worked for several years as a trial attorney. It was during this time that he developed a passion for assisting clients with the unique set of challenges that only begin as their lawsuit is resolved. Dan was a featured speaker in the Stetson College of Law Special Needs Trust Seminar IX and has authored numerous articles on financial planning associated with legal recoveries.

Education

Mr. Alvarez graduated from Florida State University in 1997. He went on to Florida State College of Law where he graduated cum laude in 2000. He began work as an Assistant State Attorney in Hillsborough County where he tried over 60 jury trials. After three years as a prosecutor, he worked as a trial lawyer at Wilkes & McHugh in Tampa. During this time, he garnered extensive experience in the mediation and settlement of complex, high-value cases.

Relevant Experience

Mr. Alvarez is also a founding partner of the Structured Sales Group, where he specializes in tax deferral planning in the purchase and sale of investment real estate and small to medium-sized businesses.
