Justin Cates is the Director of Strategic Partnership in the Phoenix market for Synergy. In this role Justin partners with trial attorneys and their plaintiff clients in the critical and complicated issues that arise during settlements, including healthcare lien resolution, Medicare Set-Asides, preservation of government benefits and attorney fee deferral programs. Over the past 7 years, Justin has been consulting with local law firms working for a division of Thomson Reuters. Justin is ecstatic to take his acquired experience of working with legal professionals and expertise on how a law firm operates, to benefit injury attorneys. This happens through applied efficiencies for the firm and through various protections offered within this partnership that will put more settlement dollars in the plaintiff’s pocket. Synergy allows trial lawyers to focus on what they do best and helps injury victims transition from litigation to life. Justin’s passion lies here. Originally from Northwest, Indiana, Justin was born and raised in “The Region” 45 minutes outside the city of Chicago. He always knew he wanted to be a Boilermaker, which leads him to attend Purdue University where he obtained a B.S. in Business Sales & Marketing. He dedicates his professional consulting career to serving his clients with integrity, value, and respect for the craft. Justin currently resides in Phoenix near the Biltmore where he lives with his wife and 2 children. He is a diehard fan of the Chicago Bulls, Bears, Blackhawks, and Cubbies and loves action sports.
